Great place for cocktails and a tasty bite to eat. Lots of veggie choices. The “gyro” was somehow really nicely balanced and tasted healthier and fresh. Gold digger and passion fin off the cocktail menus. Went for lunch and bummed that the small plates weren’t available until dinner bc really wanted the beet gluten free pasta. Gallery of mostly pop art. Fun space fun drinks. Inside ballston mall above true foods.

This restaurant was very elegant Lee decorated. There were a bunch of art pieces hung up that were very abstract,modern at the same time. We sat at a round table very comfortably the view was very nice. DJ Gonzo was playing music which really set up the atmosphere vibe my 19-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our brunch date we will be returning because the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very fun and not overly too loud With the music choices and really liked the attention of the waitresses that were walking around checking up on us constantly.

Love this place. It’s a big restaurant, with a Cool chill vibe that includes Artwork for display and purchase. The wine list is extensive and great. The food is even better. Love the service (at the bar) . Must go rating!

I have had the pleasure of dining here a few times. It is mostly shareable small plates. The prices aren’t too bad themselves. At night time, there is a DJ who played some really good music. There are also art works to check out. I loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Taste-wise, the food was good as well. They give you a decent portion so that you can truly share it. I would definitely dine again!

My friend and I recently went here for her bday. What a fun atmosphere as I love art, and been wanting to taste their menu items. We went during happy hour, and the food was absolutely excellent! I am not a fan of oysters, but oh my their sauce was so delicious that I ordered more! Everything we ordered other than the vegetable chips were tasty! Customer service was impressive! Would recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to savor different menu items.

We found the location in search of an engagement party venue. Came by in November to try it out before deciding and instantly loved the atmosphere and the cocktails. We just hosted our engagement party this past weekend and we are so happy we chose Whino as our venue! The vibe was perfect, the event coordinator and general manager were very helpful and easy to work with in planning the event, catering/drink options are so flexible and delicious options. Our guests cleared every tray and raved about the food. The option for drink tickets was excellent and not offered by many other venues. Service during the event was excellent as well. And the setting gave us the unique experience we were looking for since we like art!

The event venue is super unique and the food is wonderful, full of style and flavor. The dishes are globally inspired and I tell you it's hard to find a place like this here . A great option for those looking to host an event or just have a good time w good food/drinks here in Arlington. p.s.: I'm a local fan.

In addition to hosting my 40th birthday here last year- I recently hosted a Galentines dinner. Shoutout to Jenn Steadman and her team for making this a great experience. They accommodated my party and we had a blast! Whino is the place to be whether it is date night or having a big party!

WHINO is a really cool small plates restaurant and art gallery combo on the second floor of Ballston Quarter. When you walk in, you'll notice contemporary art and paintings hanging throughout the space. It's worth taking a moment to check them out. The whole place has dim black lighting with warm accents, so it's got a really inviting atmosphere. It does get busy so expect to zigzag through the crowd to get to your seat. The menu is small plates style, so the move is to order a bunch of different dishes and share everything around the table. The bites are small and not messy, so you can eat and talk comfortably. We ordered the jamon flatbread, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, and the Wagyu beef sliders. Everything was beautifully presented. The Brussels sprouts had a great crunch while still being soft on the inside. The Wagyu sliders were perfectly made with caramelized beef that was hot and delicious. The potatoes looked amazing, and the jamon flatbread was soft, sweet, and honestly one of the highlights of the meal. We also grabbed a Vienna Lager and a cocktail. The lager was filled to the brim (they're not skimping on you) and the cocktail had plenty of alcohol and tasted great. Four plates and two drinks came out to about $80, which is very reasonable for the quality. Our server Faven was super sweet and attentive. The place was definitely busy and the bar area was packed, but even with how crowded it was, our food came out surprisingly fast which was impressive. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The seating is really comfortable, squishy and soft, which makes a big difference when you're sitting and enjoying your meal. We sat in the middle of the restaurant but there are window seats available too where you can look out over Ballston Quarter. This is a textbook first date spot. It's not too expensive but not too cheap, the food is amazing and beautifully presented, and the vibe is perfect for sitting and having a good conversation. Getting there:
